Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 11 ~ Issue 8

Abstract

In this paper, we demonstrate a novel and direct synthesis of polymer embedded Zirconium oxide at very low temperature of ~100oC for gas sensing application. The formation of thin film of polymer embed ZrO2 were obtained byspray pyrolysis technique. The gas sensing properties were studied of all the samples for 1000 ppm LPG concentration by measuring the change in resistance with various operating temperature. A very high value of sensitivity (SF= 120) is obtained for 1weight percentage (wt %) samples at an optimum operating temperature of 45oC and 5wt% samples (SF= 100) at 35oC. However, for other additive concentration it is found to be less. The gas sensing characteristics of these films are strongly influenced by concentration level of the additive. Thus correlating the additive and electrical properties can lead to an enhancement of the material potential for gas sensing application.

Simple Approximate Estimate of the Heat Transfer Characteristics of Annular Fins of Hyperbolic Profile with Combined Integral Method

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 11 ~ Issue 8

Abstract

It is undeniable that the annular fin of hyperbolic profile with constant thermal conductivity and uniform convective coefficient is important in many applications of heat transfer engineering. The importance of this fin configuration stems from its close resemblance to the annular fin of optimal cross section capable of delivering maximum heat transfer for a given volume of material. In the present paper, a new combined integral method, based on two integral relations, is presented for approximate solving the generalized Bessel equation defining the change in the temperature of hyperbolic-profile annular fins. Certainly, the central objective here is to avoid the evaluation of the elegant, but intricate exact analytic temperature distributions and companion fin efficiencies containing modified Bessel functions of fractional order. Results are presented for the two variables of interest in thermal design: the fin tip temperature (a local quantity) and the fin thermal efficiency (a global quality ratio).

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 11 ~ Issue 8

Abstract

Lampan (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) is a commercially important Freshwater fish that is found in the subtropical and the tropical areas like Malaysia. Study on the growth performance of B. schwanenfeldii need to be explored due to their commercial importance. The aim of this study is to determine the growth rate, survival rate, and the commercial Feed meal Conversion Ratio (FCR) for B. schwanenfeldii which had been fed with various types of portentous diets in a controlled environment. This experiment was conducted for a period of 90 days using three types of treatments namely, TP0 = 32% protein content, TP1 = 28% protein and TP2 = 23% protein.......

Abstract

This study examines the diversity and taxonomical characters of wrasse fishes (family Labridae) on Pondicherry coastal water. In Puducherry all the Labridae species holds high commercial value and highly consumed by the local population. Totally six species were recorded. Out of this three species belongs Iniistius genus , one species recored as a Bodianus genus, Cymolutes genus and Halichoeres genus. Iniistius and Halichoeres species are common in all landing centre. Cymolutes praetextatus and Iniistius melanopus recored only in Pillaichavadi landing center. Bodianus neilli species recored in Nallavadu and Perikalapet landing centre.

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 11 ~ Issue 8

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the competitiveness of local tourism by using a tourism promotion through e-wom and the government websites, a study model of the local government tourism promotion. This study used a survey method with the quantitative analysis, and the analytical tool used is SmartPLS version 3.0 tools. Two hundred respondents comprise both local and foreign tourists of Jambi Province who have visited tourist destinations or seen a tourism promotion on local government websites. The result has shown a positive and significant effect both directly and indirectly the sitequal of the government website, and e-wom on local tourism competitiveness. Electronic word-of-mouth (e-wom) has a strong effect on the sustainability of tourist visiting intention.

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 11 ~ Issue 8

Abstract

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, drastic changes have occurred in human life habits. The education of children is not immune to the various reforms that the current situation demands. For this reason, many of them adapted their classes to a purely virtual modality. The risk of contagion when schools reopen is so high that, in many Latin American countries and other parts of the world, the educational system had to move overnight to virtual classes. In this context, this review seeks to analyze the psychosocial and health risk factors in children who receive virtual classes, taking into account several factors such as frequent problems as a result of spending a long time at the computer, the risks that children have when make use of this medium at an early age, as well as the recommendations that parents can use as a tool for the proper use and achievement of children academically. To do this, it collects the perceptions......

Abstract

Radioactivity levels in Clay and sand specimens collected from Elshaghab region, Luxor governorate-south of Egypt, were measured by gamma-ray spectrometric technique (HPGe) detector. The radioactive concentrations of the natural radioactive series of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K have been estimated for the clay and sand samples of the study region. The mean concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K in clay specimens were 19.7±0.8 Bq/kg, 17.18±0.7 and 272.03±16.3, respectively, where the mean concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K for sand specimens were 15.58±0.6 Bq/kg, 13.06±0.4 Bq/kg 235.8±15.2 Bq/kg, respectively. Moreover, due to the high cost of samples measurements and the wide area of the lands in our study region, an artificial neural network (ANN) technique has been carried out to estimate and predict the activity concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K for a wide area. A good agreement was obtained between the experimental values and predicted values from ANN..
